Dr. Reinhold Llerena

Playwright

Dr. Reinhold Llerena serves as a practicing family physician, Chief Medical Officer, and Chief Population Health Officer for the Ascension Illinois health system.  One of his many hobbies involves the arts. 

 

Growing up performed in musicals at Loyola Academy and Georgetown University.  However, it was decades before he returned to the "acting" scene when he joined the two Barrington Playreading groups approximately six years ago with his wife, Angela. 

 

He has written two plays ("Winning Isn't Everything" and "Connecticut Jones") that have been produced by the Barrington Playreading Group and is in the midst of writing two others.  Reinhold also has also developed a comic strip, "Gluteus Maximus".  He also plays piano and writes music to complete his right brain tendencies.  Reinhold is excited to bring a talented cast and director of this first production.
